Hanwha Vision launches new barcode reader camera for logistics

Hanwha Vision has unveiled the Dual-Lens Barcode Reader Camera, with models TNS-9040IBC, TNS-9050IBC and TNS-9060IBC.
The new models combine barcode recognition and video capture in one device.
In combination with the Vision Logistics Tracking Software, barcodes and video are provided in real-time to enhance inventory management, traceability, incident investigation and reducing shipping errors.
Features of the Barcode Reader Camera
The Barcode Reader Camera utilises accurate barcode recognition for multiple parcels in one frame and tracking.
Key features of Hanwha Vision’s latest Barcode Reader Cameras include:
- AI-powered barcode label detection on the monochrome channel enables operators to find labels efficiently and with ease
- Includes WiseBCR, a pre-installed barcode application that supports real-time barcode information and history
- The sensors for barcode recognition and video monitoring offer 4K resolution for clear imagery
- The 16, 25 or 35mm lens provides a wide field of view that suits a variety of logistics environments
- The global shutter function, available on both channels, captures distortion-free images of high-speed moving objects such as parcels on conveyor belts
- The unit reduces installation and maintenance costs
- Durable with protection against dust, shock and vibration due to IP66/67, IK10 ratings and M12 connectors
Installation and efficiency
In contrast, conventional systems require barcode readers and video surveillance cameras to be installed as separate systems.
The Barcode Reader Camera boosts operator efficiency and incident investigation speed as managers can check location, time and footage details of parcels and events in a single system instead of using separate systems.

The Barcode Reader Camera forms the foundation of a comprehensive logistics solution, in combination with Hanwha Vision software and hardware solutions.
