Hanwha Vision has announced the release of its new XRN-426S-1T recorder. The compact device has a built in 1TB solid-state-drive.
The recorder has four channels that support AI search when it is integrated with Hanwha Vision AI cameras. It has a resolution of up to 4K.
Features of the new XRN-426S-1T
The device has a solid-state drive instead of a traditional hard drive making it a silent and reliable solution.
The SSD drive allows for silent use as a fan is not required to circulate air to cool the unit.
The design of the product makes it compact and versatile. It measures at 20cm by 14cm making it well suited for confined spaces like, hallways, lobbies, information desks, residential areas and smaller retail sites.
The new release is 50% smaller than its previous four channel models.
The updated model offers features like AI search, video playback and export and event rule management.
Hanwha Vision’s latest model comes with a wide range of installation options, including a Vesa bracket for mounting on the back of a monitor, or alternatively, a separate bracket when being mounted onto a tabletop or wall.
The use of AI – how does it benefit the camera?
The use of AI Meta Data search makes it easier for operators to find and view event footage.
This allows users to check the times that a vehicle entered or exited a car park or for checking when out-of-hours staff entered and left the site.
The device is fitted with fisheye dewarping which allows operators to zoom in on details without distortion on images.
It supports the use of intelligent video analytics such as virtual line-crossing or loitering detection.
The company confirmed that the device will trigger an action based on predefined rules, such as sending an email or push notifications for mobile phones to alert the operator.
The footage captured by the device can be accessed and viewed using Wisenet Mobile or Wisenet Viewer, allowing operators flexibility in their access management of data.
