Gunnebo Safe Storage unveils new SecureBattery product line

Gunnebo Safe Storage has launched SecureBattery, a product line designed for safe battery storage and charging.
Batteries are used for powering various devices and equipment across industries and yet present unique storage challenges.

Gunnebo states that the potential risks with this include anything from thermal runaway to releasing hazardous gases with this posing significant threats to safety.
Gunnebo Safe Storage’s SecureBattery product line combines smart technology with robust safety features to protect people, assets and environments.

Product variants
The new range comes in two variants, SecureBattery Professional and SecureBattery Lite.
The company claims that the flexibility in choice allows customers to choose the solution that best fits their operational environment.
Features
The SecureBattery cabinets come equipped with a number of fire safety systems, including:
- Smoke detectors
- Temperature sensors
- Automatic fire extinguishers (optimised for battery fires)
These systems are engineered to detect and respond to fires swiftly, ensuring any incident is contained before it can escalate.
Built with fire-resistant materials certified to withstand extreme temperatures, the SecureBattery Professional cabinets offer up to 180 minutes of protection from internal fires and 90 minutes from external ones.
