Gunnebo Entrance Control has partnered with World Land Trust (WLT).

The internationally-renowned conservation charity is dedicated to helping people protect and restore land to safeguard some of the world’s most threatened habitats.

The importance of partnership

According to Gunnebo Entrance Control, this collaboration aligns with the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

Through WLT’s Buy an Acre programme, Gunnebo Entrance Control will secure and protect biodiversity-rich lands under ecological threat, ensuring that vital areas are preserved for the future.

“By partnering with World Land Trust, we’re looking beyond our own business operations towards impactful, long-term conservation efforts,” said Tina Hughan, GEC Global Marketing and Sustainability Director, Gunnebo Entrance Control.

“These habitats are irreplaceable, and preserving them is essential not only for the unique species they support but for combating climate change and securing a healthier planet for future generations.”

GEC’s involvement in the Buy an Acre programme supports projects in three critical areas: Kenya’s Dakatcha Woodland, South Africa’s Renosterveld and Argentina’s Somuncurá Plateau.

“Raising awareness”

“Each year, Gunnebo Entrance Control commits to safeguarding at least 50 acres through the Buy an Acre programme,” added Hughan.

“Alongside, we’ll also be raising awareness of WLT’s pioneering work through initiatives such as lunch and learn events, and highlighting the importance of the programme wherever possible, sharing the inspiring stories of conservation in action.

“Protecting the natural world is essential to combating climate change and preserving biodiversity.

“Support of World Land Trust reflects the importance that partnerships and collaboration play in implementing the Gunnebo Entrance Control’s Sustainability Strategy and extending the reach of positive impact that our business has.”
