Gallagher Security has announced NPSA compliance for the High Security Controller 7000, the recent addition to their controller product range.

High Security C7000

The High Security C7000 has been awarded Automatic Access Control Systems (AACS) and Cyber Assurance of Physical Security Systems (CAPSS) compliance by the UK’s National Protective Security Authority (NPSA).

Providing customers with the confidence that Gallagher states that it will continue to meet the highest standards of countries in the Five Eyes Alliance and ensure they’re meeting compliances with future-proofed confidence.

According to the company, the C7000 incorporates all the core functions of the award-winning C7000 Standard variant and expands cybersecurity capabilities in key areas to deliver enhanced reliability, resilience and redundancy.

With a Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS)-approved micro and cybersecurity, the High Security Controller 7000 enforces security policy set in Command Centre and reports on local security events with authenticated and encrypted communications to connected sensors, alarm terminals and readers.

“Extra level of security”

Jason Hunter, High Security Manager UKI said: “We’re increasingly seeing an appetite from enterprise organisations who need solutions that are certified to be used on critical national infrastructure.

“These are not necessarily for government sites, but also commercial enterprises seeking to mitigate risk to ensure business continuity.

“These customers are wanting devices that are designed with that extra level of security – they want to get ahead of emerging threats,” he concluded.

“A step further”

Daniel McVeagh, Value Stream Lead – High Security commented: “While the Controller 7000 Standard already has excellent cybersecurity functionality, the High Security C7000 goes a step further with bolder government and commercial applications firmly in mind.

“Specifically, this controller is tested and complies to many stringent government cyber and physical security standards and is built with the latest FIPS 140-3 compliant components for advanced cryptographic security.”

C7000 product range

Gallagher explains that its C7000 product range are IP based controllers that can manage all localised access control, intruder alarms, perimeter security, business automation and logic needs for an organisation.

The products are able to operate independently from the Command Centre server, ensuring predefined responses to monitored events, site safety and continuity.

Gallagher says that it also features a highly scalable system design, able to scale from single door systems to global systems with up to 10,000 controllers per server.
