Gallagher Security has announced the internal promotions of four of its South Africa team members, driving regional growth.

New positions

The new appointments will step into their new roles from 1 April.

Tarryn Fortune and Nico Smit have been appointed Sales Managers, Travis Dlamini as Junior Repair Technician and Joshua van Rensburg as Logistics Manager.

As Sales Managers, Fortune and Smit will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.

They will also be involved in leading and coaching sales teams to achieve targets and ensuring the team delivers exceptional customer value.

Morne Grobler, Group Operations Officer, Gallagher Security commented: “The hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence by these four team members has not gone unnoticed and their exceptional skillsets are an absolute asset to Gallagher.

Of her recent appointment, Fortune commented: “I am honoured to step into the role of Sales Manager, a position that presents both exciting opportunities and significant responsibilities.

“Having worked closely with clients across various sectors, I have witnessed first hand the evolving security landscape and the growing need for innovative, integrated solutions,” she concluded.

Smit added to her comment : “I’m extremely grateful for this milestone and am looking forward to the journey ahead.”

Morne stated that he acknowledged the pairs’ leadership, teamwork and problem-solving abilities, attributes he said makes them ‘a perfect fit’ as they step into the new Sales Manager roles.

“Extremely proud”

After 12 years at Gallagher as Warehouse Assistant, Travis Dlamini moves into the role of Junior Repair Technician.

Responsible for handling modular repairs, troubleshooting and testing of energiser units and access control systems, as well as assisting with administrative tasks, technical support and inventory management, Dlamini says he is looking forward to contributing to the Africa team in a technical capacity.

Dlamini commented: “Working at Gallagher has given me the opportunity to grow and develop my skills and I’m excited to take on this new role as a Junior Repair Technician.

“Being part of a company that delivers industry-leading security solutions makes me extremely proud,” he concluded.

“A meaningful impact”

Joshua van Rensburg will move into the role of Logistics Manager, where he will be responsible for sales delivery and repairs within the warehouse.

Rensburg added: “I’m excited to take on this new opportunity and contribute to a dynamic team. I’m looking forward to driving efficiency, improving processes, and making a meaningful impact.”
