Gallagher Security has announced the internal promotion of George Dunleavy to the position of Sales Manager for South Australia and Northern Territory (SA and NT).
Joining Gallagher in 2021 as Technical Business Development Manager for SA and NT, Dunleavy brings a wealth of knowledge and 17 years’ experience in the security industry.
A wealth of knowledge
Prior to joining Gallagher, Dunleavy held the role of Strategic Manager for Security and Emergency Management with the Department for Education.
He has also served as a Police Officer with the South Australian Police in Adelaide and the West Midlands Police in Birmingham, England.
“Furthering the success of Gallagher Security”
Dunleavy expressed: “I am looking forward to furthering the success of Gallagher Security in our region, strengthening connections with existing clients and unlocking new opportunities.
“It is an exciting time for the industry and the company and I am proud to have the opportunity to impart my own personality and values into the way we deliver our objectives over the coming years.”
Craig Schutte, Executive Vice President for APAC, Gallagher Security also commented: “After an extensive and competitive recruitment process, we are thrilled to have promoted George within our team.
“George brings a wealth of practical incident and crisis management experience, extensive contacts and relationships within the region and will be instrumental in Gallagher’s continued growth across South Australia.”
“Established himself as a trusted advisor”
Scott Johnstone, National Sales Manager for Australia, Gallagher Security added: “Since joining Gallagher, George has established himself as a trusted advisor with a solid technical foundation of Gallagher solutions making him well placed to continue supporting and expanding the success of the SA and NT regions.”
During his time at the Department for Education, Dunleavy was instrumental in the provision of electronic security and access control requirements for Australia’s first vertical high school, as well as the one billion dollar school construction program delivered by the South Australian government.
Based in Adelaide, Dunleavy stepped into his new role on 8 January taking over from Karl Harris and will continue to work closely with Gallagher’s extensive network of Channel Partners alongside Mark Vickery, Technical Business Development Manager for SA and NT.
“Our immediate focus is on deepening customer engagement”
Dunleavy concluded: “SA and NT have achieved remarkable success as a team in recent years.
“It is crucial to uphold this standard and build on Karl Harris’ excellent groundwork.
“Our immediate focus is on deepening customer engagement and continuing to provide the support and service they have come to expect.
“While operational changes are minimal in the short term, we plan to deepen interactions with end users, channel partners, integration partners and industry professionals throughout the year.
“This proactive approach aims to identify areas for improvement, ensuring our Gallagher Security experience consistently exceeds expectations and strengthens our community and commercial ties.”
Due to this internal promotion, Gallagher Security is now recruiting a Senior Business Development Manager to drive further growth across the South Australia and Northern Territory regions.
