Finland to be provided with new smart transport solution

HID has been awarded a new contract to provide Finland with a high security driver’s license card and personalisation services solution.

This will incorporate the European second generation smart Tachograph solution.

According to HID, this collaborative project reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing security and efficiency across the country’s transportation systems.

Finland will benefit from a bespoke, configurable solution that integrates software, hardware and equipment in line with the Traffic Authority’s vision of an efficient digital document issuance system.

HID collaborated with CardPlus Systems on the project, a trusted partner that provides ID documents, services and systems to ensure an exceptional driver’s license solution with leading features.

“The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency, Traficom, is pleased to enter into a partnership with HID,” said Max Fogdell, Head of Services for Driving Licenses and Examinations at Finland’s Transport and Communications Agency, Traficom.
