SIRA reflects on a success story and celebration of security and stability at Emarat Alaman 2024.
Emarat Alaman is one of the most prominent community events that reflects the UAE’s commitment to social stability and security in the community.
This event is not just a sporting or competitive event, but rather a set of challenges that enhance the values of cooperation and unity between government and private institutions and the community as a whole.
In its fifth edition in 2024, the event witnessed a significant improvement in the diversity of activities it offered, which makes it a unique and distinctive event in the UAE’s events calendar.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, this event was held at “Dubai Mall Zabeel”, in cooperation with “Emaar” during the period from 4-7 November 2024.
About Emarat Alaman
Emarat Alaman was established in 2018 as part of the UAE’s efforts to build a safe, stable community that enhances the concepts of teamwork and cooperation between segments of the community.
This year’s fifth edition included a wide range of challenges that combined physical and mental challenges, with the main goal being to create a competitive environment that stimulates everyone, encourages creativity and develops leadership skills, in addition to enriching the participants’ experience with many unique side activities.
The event was also a great opportunity to celebrate the prosperity enjoyed by the UAE, focusing on the importance of cooperation and integration between individuals and community to achieve security and safety.
Event objectives
The main goal of Emarat Alaman is to encourage all segments of the community to actively participate in activities that promote cooperation and teamwork, which are the values on which the United Arab Emirates was founded.
The event also aims to highlight the significant role played by State institutions in maintaining stability and national security and to celebrate the achievements made over the years.
Emarat Alaman aims to achieve several main goals:
- Enhance the spirit of cooperation – by providing an appropriate environment to encourage participants to work together and cooperate with each other
- Enhance community awareness – the event seeks to spread awareness about the importance of security and stability and how to achieve a safe and stable environment in the country and enhance cooperation between government and private entities and the public
- Encourage strategic thinking – through mental challenges that push participants to think strategically and make the right decisions under pressure
- Celebrate achievements – by celebrating national and local achievements and honouring individuals and institutions that contributed to the success of Emarat Alaman, such as strategic partners, participants, organisers and the public
- Community interaction – encourage the community members of all ages to participate in activities that promote the values of unity and cooperation
Challenges and activities
As in previous years, the activities of Emarat Alaman 2024 were full of physical and mental challenges.
These challenges were designed to ensure that each participant will test their physical and mental abilities in an environment full of excitement, suspense and cooperation.
But, what distinguishes this edition is the integration of art with sports challenges, as a group of artists were collaborated to launch interactive artworks.
These artworks represent a remarkable development in the community events, as the event is no longer limited to challenges, but has become a platform to bring together all segments of the community and government and private entities, with enhancing their communication in an unconventional way.
This collaboration reflects the added value that the event provides, as it combines sports and art in an integrated experience.

The introduction of side events and innovation is one of the prominent features that made Emarat Alaman 2024 an unforgettable event.
A variety of interactive games and challenges were developed to excite participants and make the event experience more rewarding and enjoyable at the same time.
In addition to the physical challenges, exciting daily competitions were held with valuable prizes from partner companies, such as Emaar gift cards and Uby-Emaar loyalty programs.

Celebrate the winners and honour the partners
On 11 November, the winners of Emarat Alaman were honoured during a special ceremony at the Address Dubai Mall Hotel.
The ceremony was attended by a number of prominent figures, including His Excellency Khalifa Ibrahim Al Saleis, CEO of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency and Major General Jamal bin Aadid Al Muhairi, Deputy Director General for Resources and Support Services Affairs at the General Directorate of Dubai Civil Defense.
The winners were honoured in several categories and the winning teams from the public and private sectors have been crowned.
Some institutions that achieved outstanding success in the event were also honoured.
The ceremony witnessed a video clip that showed all the challenges that the participants faced, which made attendees feel that they shared the team’s success.
The Dubai Civil Defense team was crowned in the Government Security and Safety Sector category, while the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment team, which participated in the challenge for the first time, won in the Public Sector category.
Mashreq Bank team and the TJ Sky team topped the Private Commercial Sector and Private Security and Safety Sector categories.
Among the distinguished participations in this event, the Dubai Digital Team crowned the women’s team competitions this year and the Ras Al Khaimah team won the General Audience category.
The victory was not limited to teams from the Emirate of Dubai only; the Abu Dhabi Police team topped the competition in the physical challenges, while a group of media professionals from Dubai Media Incorporation were able to top the mind games competitions.
Audience interaction and daily participation
On the sidelines of the event, there were daily events and competitions, in addition to individual challenges that gave participants the opportunity to win valuable prizes.
These activities contributed to motivating participants to give their best.
These activities are a great opportunity for the audience to interact with the event away from the main competitions, as they benefited from the prizes provided by strategic partners.
