Dubai Police implements successful maritime safety strategy

Recent reports have confirmed that the maritime safety measures enforced by Dubai Police were effective in protecting people during the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
“The strategy involved increased maritime security and rescue patrols, jet skis, bicycles, beach security patrols and public safety awareness initiatives,” explained Colonel Dr. Hassan Al Suwaidi, Director of Ports Police Station
“The approach aimed to provide quick and effective responses to emergencies around the clock while supervising compliance to preserve public safety.”
A comprehensive plan had been put together, in conjunction with both internal and external partners, to accommodate hundreds of visitors during the break.
The public, especially those interested in maritime activities, were also urged by Al Suwaidi to adhere to safety instructions and guidelines.
