Over five-and-a-half million bags were handled and 166 seizures were made by Dubai Customs’ Terminal 2 Customs Centre team in 2022.
This is a remarkable achievement for the team, which utilises innovative smart technology to conduct its work efficiently.
Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director-General, Dubai Customs and CEO, Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, recently toured Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport’s Customs Centre to promote the growth of tourism and travel in Dubai.
Musabih – who was briefed by Ibrahim Al Kamali, Director of Passenger Operations Department and Falah Khalil Al Samak, Senior Manager of Terminal 2 Operations – was given a comprehensive overview of the centre’s operations and the constant improvement of customs services and facilities.
Zawya reports that Musabih praised staff at the centre for their dedication to improving customs services for passengers.
Musabih also emphasised that Dubai’s customs centres are always evolving and providing better services and amenities for tourists and travellers in line with the region’s wider ambitions.
