QED has announced the appointment of Olivia Fishwick in the role of Digital Marketing Assistant. This is a new role at QED aimed to strengthen the marketing team with a focus on social media, eMarketing and website management.

Olivia started at QED in January 2017 as a Digital Marketing Apprentice: creating social media content, writing blog posts and working on the business’s search engine visibility. In 2018, Olivia really wanted to pursue her makeup business whilst studying Digital Marketing at University. Throughout this three-year journey, QED supported Olivia and offered her a role to continue as its Digital Marketing Assistant once a week alongside her studies and business.

Fast-forward to 2021, having graduated with a 1st Class Honours Degree and winning the Propeller Enterprise Award, Inspiring Female Student Award and awards for the highest average grades across her course, Olivia is back at QED full-time. She mainly focuses on delivering high-performing e-mail campaigns, fun and engaging social media content and vibrant design work.

Catherine Seddon, Marketing Manager, said: “Olivia is very creative and results driven and what makes her different is her understanding that marketing is about developing good relationships with customers and being consistent with the brand message. The QED brand is all about good people and working in partnership with customers and suppliers, so we can succeed together. Olivia has grown and developed over the past few years and after graduating in July I was over the moon when she joined the team full time.”

Olivia Fishwick, Digital Marketing Assistant, said:“From designing and launching e-shot campaigns and new product launches, to managing the social media and more, every day at QED is fast-paced and different. Despite this, what really gravitated me back towards the company continually over the past four years is its people. There are not many companies out there that are willing to let you leave to pursue a personal goal; then remain your personal cheerleader whilst pursuing those personal goals and welcome you back with open arms. That to me demonstrates a company that truly values its employees, their aspirations and encourages them to strive for greatness. I will never forget the support this business has and continues to give me.”
