Dahua Technology has introduced the X-Spans series, a new camera unit that combines panoramic scene overviews with PTZ and tracking capabilities.

The company‘s new range includes the ability to operate in Combined Mode, where panoramic and detail sensors collaborate for smart tracking, as well as Independent Mode, where the channels function separately with different AI functions.

This setup allows for effective coverage of larger areas and viewing angles, potentially reducing the need for additional cameras and cabling, offering a cost effective monitoring solution for various locations.

Dahua’s camera

  • Dual PTZ: Features unauthorised parking detection, smart tracking, IP67 protection and a built-in speaker
  • Digital Tilt Panorama: Designed for large areas with unauthorised parking detection, smart tracking, face detection and ultra wide panorama capabilities
  • Fixed Panorama: Suitable for medium sized areas with perimeter protection, smart tracking, face recognition and video metadata features
  • Manual Tilt Panorama: Includes perimeter protection, smart tracking, smart dual-light+ and TiOC (Three-in-One Camera) PTZ capabilities

“Ultimate performance”

Michael Lawrence, Marketing Director, Dahua UK and Ireland commented: “The X-Spans series provides the ultimate performance in dual camera technology and is set to empower the ability of users to monitor large and medium sized spaces effectively and efficiently.

“Its powerful simultaneous wide scene and detail tracking abilities make X-Spans a game-changer for this type of video surveillance.”
