Airbus has recently completed the installation of its secure Tetra communications technology for Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, Chengdu’s second International airport and one of the five biggest international airports in China with over 50 million passengers in 2019.
Since the end-of-June, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport now benefits from an Airbus Tetra radio communication system including TB3 base stations and is seamlessly interconnected with Chengdu’s Shuangliu International Airport, which has been using Airbus Tetra solutions since 2013.
The 800MHz radio communication interconnection between both airports’ Tetra communication systems, will allow smoother collaboration between airport staff from both airports, safer and seamless logistics and ensure the safety of all passengers, visitors and employees in both premises.
This marks another communication interconnectivity achievement between two major international airports in the same city in China after Beijing Daxing international airport with Beijing Capital at the end of 2019.
