Charter Global confirms LPS 1175 certification for shutter

Charter Global is said to be the first company in the world to achieve LPS 1175 Issue 8 E category certification to E15 and E20 for a roller shutter product.
The Obexion MDE-E20 security roller shutter has passed full independent testing by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) and gives Double the Delay of the previously highest rated SR5 product under Issue 7 and is certified for both internal and external face fix installation.
The Loss Prevention Standard, LPS 1175 Issue 8, comprises a range of security ratings with test requirements of ascending intensity.
As the tool sets used to attack grow in size and power, the length of time to delay an attack also increases as the certification levels increase.
E20 certified products can withstand attack for 20 minutes with a range of battery power tools and any of the tool sets included in the lower categories. The Obexion MDE – E15 can also withstand attack with the E category tool set for 15 minutes.

Back in 2015, Charter Global were the first company to launch a SR5 roller shutter under the previous Issue 7 standards and now its commitment to product innovation and market demand has resulted in us being the first to market with an E20 category product.

The Obexion MDE range has a number of unique technologies and designs. These are covered by registered design rights and international patents (patent pending).
Applications for the Obexion MDE-E20 and E15 products include laboratories and data centres, top security government facilities, financial institutions, critical infrastructure projects and facilities using radiological materials, pathogens and toxins.
