At the barox stand, located in Hall 5, J50, Nx Witness users will have the opportunity to fully explore the depth of integration capabilities.
The company states that all key features will be presented within a user-friendly intuitive GUI, including features like:
- Extensive diagnostics
- PoE management
- CPU temperature analysis
- Network health monitoring
Plug-ins and switches
This addition to the barox portfolio is the latest in the extensive range of plug-ins available from barox, a manufacturer of Ethernet switches designed for the demands of IP video networks.
Nx Witness will be showcased alongside barox’s long established technology partners:
- Milestone
- Genetec
- Genesys by ISM – NPSA approved, CAPSS certified command and control platform
Visitors to the stand can learn why barox switches are designed for public space, CNI, utilities, transport hubs, data centres, government, military, oil and gas, and other high security applications.
Ethernet integration
With barox Ethernet switch integration, enhanced diagnostic data showing the status of cameras and switches on a graphical chart, enabling the pinpointing of network or device issues, faults and outages can be diagnosed remotely.
For example, if a network camera fails to respond, barox switches can be used to autonomously send a re-boot command, saving device downtime and also bringing a device back online/resolving the issue with no engineer involvement.
In the case of a security breach, devices can be disabled at user level to maintain operation, whilst full remote control of PoE on ports allow users to re-set or switch them off if required.
The company states that this advanced capability stands barox apart from other network equipment manufacturers and has proven to be an invaluable asset and quite literally, ‘game-changing’ in the management of high security video surveillance networks.
In addition to its unparalleled integration capability, barox will introduce the latest additions to its Ethernet switch line-up, along with some new remote reboot features on the media converter range.
