barox Kommunikation AG has achieved the International Organisation for Standardisation’s (ISO) standard for Environmental Management (ISO 14001) across its entire operation.

This confirms barox as being a conscious manufacturer that takes environmental issues seriously and takes steps to reduce its impact on the environment by successfully implementing an Environmental Management System (EMS).

An ISO 14001 EMS introduces a continual improvement approach which systematically assesses the best and worst effects the business has on the environment.

Data can then be prioritised to create positive concrete measures in the short, medium and long term.

“We want to show our customers that barox prioritises environmental issues and acts accordingly,” said Angelo Banfi, Co-founder & Managing Partner, barox.

“barox takes environmental issues seriously, and we are committed to reviewing, documenting and implementing procedures to improve our operations, to minimise our environmental impact.

“Acting in an environmentally compatible manner brings an advantage to our business and our customers, as well being a socially responsible ethic. For example, in the last two years, we have been able to steadily reduce the proportion of plastic used in our product packaging.

“This has not only positively impacted on the environment but also on our customers too, who can now also act more environmentally friendly when disposing of their barox packaging.”
