In a strategic move, barox Kommunikation AG has announced a seamless integration with the Geutebrück video management system (VMS) to empower extended user control.
Designed to work effortlessly with the barox Ethernet switch range, this integration aligns with barox’s commitment to delivering tailored network solutions for the modern video security market.
Geutebrück VMS
Geutebrück’s VMS is known for its user-friendly interface, allowing easy playback of live images and recordings, customisable to meet specific end user requirements.
With features ensuring protection against unauthorised access and flexible adjustment of rights for user groups and locations, the system stores image and video data in a tamper-proof Geutebrück format (GBF), suitable as court-admissible evidence.
The scalable system can operate independently or expand by integrating multiple systems.
The barox integration empowers users to directly manage all IP devices within their security network through the Geutebrück VMS, enabling actions such as shutting down cameras for security reasons or performing reboots.
Valuable network information
In addition to the barox plug-in release, Geutebrück users can harness the advantages of a barox Device Management System (DMS) within their architecture.
This allows users to manage all IP devices in their security network directly through software, delivering the comprehensive benefits of the barox DMS.
The barox DMS provides a dynamic graphical overview of network topology, offering valuable network information, including Omnicast system diagnostic data for quick localisation of network or device issues.
“Cleverly integrated”
Rudolf Rohr, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, barox commented: “We are pleased that the integration for Geutebrück’s VMS and our barox switches is now available.
“This integration allows the ultimate user control of our Ethernet switches directly from Geutebrück VMS.
“The advanced switch functionality of barox provides significant added value for operators of professional video security systems in government agencies, local authorities, transportation, energy, retail or prisons.”
Ulf Hüther, Head of Technology Partner Management, Geutebrück GmbH added: “The integration of barox DMS-Health Monitoring and the specially developed plug-in into the Geutebrück VMS software marks another step in the long-standing collaboration between Geutebrück and barox.
“This profound cooperation aligns with the growing demands in the critical sector and has the clear goal of providing Geutebrück users, in conjunction with barox, with a higher level of security, overview and control of the entire system.
“The ease of operation of individual components is cleverly integrated into a comprehensive overall solution.”
