Axis Communications has confirmed the launch of its new robust thermal camera.
The AXIS Q1971-E is capable of around-the-clock detection and verification, regardless of weather or light conditions, even when deployed in low-contrast scenes.
This makes the new Axis solution ideal for perimeter protection use cases, particularly since this halogen-free camera has a low carbon footprint and low power consumption.
AXIS Q1971-E
By utilising thermal imaging, the AXIS Q1971-E ensures a lower false alarm rate.
Moreover, since thermal imaging doesn’t allow for identification, privacy is always guaranteed.
According to Axis, the solution – which is offered with five lens alternatives available (7mm, 13mm, 19mm, 25mm and 35mm) – delivers optimal detection capabilities to meet specific needs.
Thermal palettes make it easier and more efficient to interpret a scene and electronic image stabilisation (EIS) ensures stable, reliable video in all environments.
Axis technology
The AXIS Q1971-E thermal camera comes with AXIS Motion Guard, AXIS Fence Guard and AXIS Loitering Guard preinstalled for proactive surveillance.
AXIS Perimeter Defender is also available for enhanced protection.
The thermal camera includes two I/O ports for connecting external devices and Axis Edge Vault also safeguards the device and offers FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified key storage and operations.
