Axis Communications unveils multi-door network controllers

Axis Communications has unveiled two multi-door network controllers offering complete control for up to eight doors.
With onboard lock power, these all-in-one door controllers simplify installations and minimise complexity, the company notes.
The controllers
AXIS A1710-B offers full control for up to four doors including support for eight OSDP readers and eight locks, whereas AXIS A1810-B can control for up to eight doors and includes support for 16 OSDP readers and 16 locks.

- Designed for centralised installation with Axis and third-party cabinets
- To simplify complex installations, the device has built-in lock power
- The connectors are colour coded for easy cable management
- The devices support for OSDP readers and an optional accessory for Wiegand readers, making them suitable for both small and large installations
- Able to store up to 250k credentials and 250k event logs on each device
Furthermore, they can be used together with AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry or partner solutions to provide a scalable, all-in-one video and access control management system, the company claims.

Axis Edge Vault
Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based cybersecurity platform, safeguards the device and protects sensitive information from unauthorised access.
It also ensures cryptographic keys are safely and securely stored in the onboard EAL6+ Certified compute module.
These products are Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) Verified to ensure secure bidirectional communication.
Additionally, they offer flexible and secure authentication using different types of credentials and multi-factor authentication ensures enhanced security.
