The anticipation is building as the Association of University Chief Security Officers (AUCSO) has announced the theme for its 40th annual conference: Unveiling the added value of security services.

Scheduled to take place from 8-10 April 2024, at the University of Liverpool, UK, this milestone event will be hosted by Andrew Molloy, AUCSO member and Head of Campus Support Services.

Early registration and exciting program

Registration for the conference is now open exclusively for member institutions, offering delegates the chance to secure the Early Bird Rate until 31 January 2024.

Attendees can expect an exciting program featuring impressive keynote speakers, with details to be unveiled shortly.

Last year’s conference witnessed a record-breaking attendance of over 250 delegates from around the globe, along with 45 industry exhibitors, making it the largest exhibition to date.

Exhibition opportunities for suppliers and partners

This year, the conference will feature an exhibition showcasing products and services from new suppliers and AUCSO partners.

Interested suppliers and partners are encouraged to secure their exhibition spaces early to connect with delegates during workshops and talks.

Networking events and gala dinner

The conference promises engaging networking opportunities, including a Welcome Reception and Exhibitors Fayre on Monday evening at the conference Centre.

A Networking Evening is planned for Tuesday at Anfield UK, the home of Liverpool Football Club, offering a unique experience, including a stadium tour and a chance to meet a football legend.

The pinnacle of the conference is the Black Tie Gala Dinner and Awards Evening on Wednesday at The Lutyens Crypt and Treasury at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral UK.

Delegates will witness the announcement of the winners of the AUCSO Awards, celebrating the outstanding achievements of security teams within their institutions during 2023.

AUCSO: “A highly thought-provoking and fascinating conference”

Julie Barker, Chief Operating Officer, AUCSO commented: “We are very much looking forward to our 40th annual conference –  it will be great to see colleagues and friends – and meet new ones too.

“We are excited to announce our detailed programme in due course which focuses on our theme on the added value our security services deliver to our communities.

“We are excited to offer the Early Bird Discount, which is available until the end of the month and so do please register, for what we promise to be a highly thought-provoking and fascinating conference.

“We are also keen to hear from businesses and charities who would be interested in exhibiting at the conference as it’s a great way to promote your products or services to a targeted audience of university and security specialists.

“We particularly look forward to the Gala Dinner and Awards Evening on the Wednesday evening when we will announce the winners of the 2024 AUCSO Awards.

“It will be wonderful to see delegates, business partners, shortlisted colleagues and special guests come together to celebrate the amazing work security teams have achieved within their institutions during 2023.”
