API security company Cequence partners with Aramco Digital

Cequence has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Saudi Aramco’s digital and technology subsidiary, Aramco Digital Company.
The two companies are preparing plans for a strategic collaboration which is expected to enhance and localise API security within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to a statement, the partnership aims to propel the digital transformation of Saudi Arabia’s industrial sectors through the implementation of Unified API Protection (UAP).
This will safeguard critical data and functionality exposed through APIs.
The announcement follows the launch of Aramco Digital Company, which aims to accelerate digital transformation within the Kingdom and the MENA region.
The companies will explore the creation of a unique API Protection offering for ADC’s Marketplace.

Ameya Talwalkar, CEO, Cequence and Moataz Lami, CISO, Aramco Digital signed the MoU on behalf of Cequence and Aramco Digital Company respectively.
Also in attendance were Andy Mills, VP EMEA, Cequence and James Sherlow, Director, Solutions Engineering, Cequence.
