ALCEA unveils launch of GATEWAY with real-time monitoring for enhanced security

ALCEA has announced the launch of its GATEWAY, a solution designed to address the increasing security demands for critical infrastructure around the world.
The product acts as a bridge between physical security devices and the systems that monitor and control them.
The new ALCEA GATEWAY offers comprehensive real-time situational awareness, remote keyless opening and monitoring and keyless access management.
This comes in response to a more complex global infrastructure landscape, with the transportation sector serving as an example.
Examples of the use
During the 2024 Olympics’ opening, French railways saw increased incidents, disrupting services and affecting around 800,000 passengers.
A similar need for robust security measures is evident in South Africa, where the telecommunications sector is severely impacted by copper theft.
This contributes to annual losses of up to R7 billion (USD 381 million) in the energy sector alone, underscoring the urgency of this issue.

Integrated with the ABLOY BEAT portfolio, ALCEA claims the GATEWAY will enable remote opening, monitoring and control of a wide range of ABLOY BEAT products.
