AI powered high-speed ANPR camera launched

Hanwha Vision has confirmed the release of its TNO-7180RLP high-speed ANPR camera.
The new solution – which is fitted with 3MP Global Shutter technology – is capable of detecting number plates on vehicles moving at up to 125mph across two lanes of traffic.

The camera also features Hanwha’s ROAD AI solution which utilises AI video analytics to identify the type, make, model and colour of detected vehicles.
Not only is the solution capable of detecting these features across 70 different automotive brands, 600 models and ten colours, but the camera itself also features a global shutter which improves the accuracy and clarity of captured number plate images, operating with a frame rate of up to 60fps.
Footage can be accessed through Wisenet WAVE, Wisenet SSM and other video management software including Milestone and Genetec.
The TNO-7180RLP can also identify number plates and vehicle makes/models from regions including Europe and the UK, Canada, the USA, Australia and New Zealand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Middle East, South Africa and Russia.
To get the best view of number plates, the TNO-7180RLP camera web viewer also provides suggestions to operators on camera setup, including the optimum vertical, roll and horizontal angle.
Alongside highway and road monitoring, the TNO-7180RLP can be used to control vehicle access and parking restrictions, thanks to its whitelist and blacklist feature.
The TNO-7180RLP is IP66/IP6K9K, IK10+ and NEMA 4X rated, water resistant, dust and vandal-proof.
