AhnLab has announced the addition of Traditional Chinese support to its endpoint protection platform AhnLab EPP to improve accessibility and usability for customers in Asia.

According to the company, this update is part of AhnLab’s localisation strategy in response to growing demand for its endpoint security solutions in major Asian markets.

Traditional Chinese

Traditional Chinese is the primary language used in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, which are major business and technology hubs that require robust cybersecurity capabilities. This addition is designed to help Chinese-speaking users better understand and utilise key security features of AhnLab EPP.

AhnLab EPP is a next-generation unified endpoint protection platform that enables efficient management of complex, multi-layered endpoint environments and delivers advanced threat response through a single agent and a unified management console.

The company reported that traditional Chinese support applies to major plug-ins of AhnLab EPP, including:

  • AhnLab EPPM: a web-based unified management console for various endpoint security solutions
  • AhnLab EPM: a patch management solution that provides safe patches verified by AhnLab’s proprietary patch lab
  • AhnLab EPrM: a data protection solution that detects and blocks suspected personal data leakage through various endpoint channels
  • AhnLab EDC: a device control solution that manages access to external devices and removable media
  • V3 lineup (macOS PC & Linux server): anti-malware solutions that protect desktops, laptops and servers

Language support

With this update, Chinese-speaking users can manage the full spectrum of endpoint security operations – from patch management, data protection, device control, malware detection and response – in their preferred language.

AhnLab EPP now supports a total of five languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

The company said that it plans to further expand its language support and product coverage in line with global customer needs.

As part of this effort, Traditional Chinese support will also be extended to V3 for Windows PCs and servers later this June.

AhnLab stated that it has already been providing Traditional Chinese support for its cyber-physical system security platform AhnLab CPS PLUS to address growing demand for IT-OT integrated security in Taiwan since last September.

“Strengthen our global competitiveness”

Vincent Sang Kook Lee, Chief Growth Officer at AhnLab commented: “We expect to enhance product usability and position AhnLab EPP as a more compelling option in the Chinese-speaking markets, including Taiwan by offering a localised user experience tailored to customers in the region.

“We will continue to strengthen our global competitiveness by proactively addressing customer needs through localisation strategies in high-demand markets,” he concluded.
