Verkada, the provider of cloud-managed enterprise building security, has unveiled the newest addition to its line of cloud-based security products. The SV11 Environmental Sensor is an all-in-one sensor for monitoring environmental changes across your facilities.
Multiple insights from a single device
From monitoring noise levels on factory floors, to detecting temperature fluctuations in server closets, to informing you of vaping in school restrooms, the SV11 is a paradigm shift for visibility and insight into your physical spaces.
Each SV11 environmental sensor features several cutting-edge embedded sensors, measuring and recording changes happening in real-time. This includes:
- Temperature
- Air Quality Index (AQI)
- Particulate Matter 2.5 (PM 2.5)
- Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOCs)
- Relative Humidity
- Noise Levels
- Motion Detection
- Vaping and Smoking
Users can set customised thresholds for each sensor feed and configure the recipients and scheduling of real-time alerts via SMS and/or email.
In the below 3-minute video, Verkada Product Marketer, Jeff Chase runs through some of the SV11’s headline features:
One of the SV11’s most interesting features is built-in detection of smoking or vaping activity. Utilising an array of onboard sensors, the SV11 air for environmental signatures of smoking or vaping. Verkada’s Vape Index gives schools and other smoke-free facilities the tools to monitor and investigate these events.
Native video integration with Verkada
When paired with nearby video cameras, the SV11 environmental sensor delivers an even more powerful experience. Together cameras and sensors provide a real-time holistic account of events within the facilities you manage, giving powerful context to sensor data.
Linked cameras can either be located beside the sensor, or for areas where privacy is required such as bathrooms, changing rooms, dormitories and clinics, cameras can be set-up facing the entrances/exits, coupled to a sensor within the space itself.
The SV11 is now available for purchase and 30-day trial. For more information, please contact [email protected].
