$36.5m border security contract awarded in Nigeria

ASISGUARD, the Turkish defence company, has recently been awarded a $36.5m contract to deploy its integrated border security solution in Nigeria.

As Nigeria continues to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening its border security, the company’s AI-equipped Songar drones will be used to detect and neutralise targets.

According to Military Africa, the company will also act as the integrator and installer for the project.

Barış Düzgün, General Manager, ASISGUARD officially signed the agreement, which in the long term, will provide authorities in Nigeria with the opportunity to respond to incidents in real time.
